We have been involved in this breed since 1993, almost 14 years of a lot of wonderful memories.
Not all plain sailing or happiness, but we have got through the saddest of times by the support
and guidance given by close friends and family and of course that unconditional love given by
these wonderful four legged friends ....... our family of Shar-Pei.
"Ta-Ka-Lok" means happy together. It is the way we try to live our lives, that is our dogs and us.
They are firstly our pets and companions and secondly our show dogs.
We aim to produce good quality dogs, full of type, maintaining the unique features of this breed
and dogs that are healthy in mind and body.
We, Tony McQuilken and Barry Goff, live in Rowlands Castle which a is village in the South Downs
in Hampshire.
We are a relatively small kennel, keeping our numbers to a manageable level so that we do
not lose that personal touch with each dog.
Our success in the show ring speaks for itself, with multiple best in show and best puppy in show
winners and the first kennel with brother and sister gaining thier show certificate of merit.
with Grace being the youngest Shar Pei to gain this award. Additionaly, the first kennel to gain three
stud book numbers with home bred dogs.
We will continue to breed only from healthy stock, producing litters only
when we believe it is right for us and our dogs.
We welcome genuine enquiries from those wishing to purchase quality puppies for permanent pet
or show homes and for those wishing to use our dogs at stud. We have exported to Spain & Sweden
and welcome overseas enquiries.
